2014 RIDES DESCRIPTIONS
BEST DESSERT GUIDED LUNCH RIDE
GUIDED RIDE – 155 miles round trip – about 4 hours
A ride starting at Chattahoochee Harley-Davidson to Yoder’s Restaurant in Montezuma, Ga.
Yoder's Deitsch Haus Restaurant and Bakery is a cafeteria that serves lunch and dinner. It sits alongside a peaceful country road in Mennonite farmland. The Mennonites who run Yoder's have their own distinctive style of country cooking, although some items on the menu are very much Southern such as fried okra and turnip greens. Shredded beef, meatloaf, shredded ham with a pineapple glaze, and country fried steak are some of the meat choices.
After you choose your entree, your server will ask if you want rice or potatoes. These are optional. All the items on the menu are individually priced, i.e. there is no fixed combination price for a plate. So select whatever combination of vegetables, rice, potatoes, and bread that you wish. The prices are very reasonable.
Pie is the main dessert featured in the cafeteria line including coconut cream, shoo-fly, pecan and others. Usually there are slices of cake as well. Yoder's has an attached bakery that has a variety of cakes such as Red Velvet, Caramel, Carrot, German chocolate, coconut, Key Lime, and Hummingbird Cakes. Other items sold in the bakery include breads, brownies, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and whole pies. The sugary doughnuts are very good.

LET'S GO PACKING GUIDED LUNCH RIDE
GUIDED RIDE – 201 miles round trip – about 6 hours
A ride starting at Chattahoochee Harley-Davidson to Georgia’s Little Grand Canyon. Georgia’s “Little Grand Canyon” is a testament to the power of man’s influence on the land.
Massive gullies as deep as 150 feet were caused simply by poor farming practices during the 1800s, yet today they make some of the prettiest photographs within the state. The rare Plum Leaf Azalea grows only in this region and blooms during July and August when most azaleas have lost their color. The canyon soil’s pink, orange, red and purple hues make a beautiful natural painting at this quiet park.
From there to Lane’s Packing for lunch. Enjoy true Southern fare inside at Peachtree Café or if it’s the great outdoors you want, enjoy your meal alfresco. You will taste southern hospitality in every mouthwatering bite of our own BBQ and Brunswick stew, or loosen your belt and enjoy all you can eat buffet & salad bar.

A ride starting at Chattahoochee Harley-Davidson to the Whistle Stop Cafe in Juliette Ga. The Whistle Stop Cafe building was built in 1927 by Edward L. Williams, Sr. He ran a general merchandise store there for 45 years and finally closed the doors for good in 1972 simply stating, "I have had enough."
The store was rented out for a while as a timber consultant/real estate office and then as an antique shop before the filming of "Fried Green Tomatoes". The store played a major role as "The Whistle Stop Cafe".
After the filming, Robert Williams, who had inherited the building, decided to make it into a real cafe and formed a partnership with friend Jerie Lynn Williams. Together they started the "Original Whistle Stop Cafe."
